"Close-up
reference is absolutely a must! Without good reference, a
taxidermist is going nowhere."
At
Joe Meder's game head courses we take your natural ability and help you
to reach your full potential, whether you are a beginner or an advanced
competitor. During the class you will learn our proven world
champion techniques used in mounting, coupled with high quality
anatomical references, and our philosophy in how to properly use
those references. You'll have daily contact in our on-site
research facility with the live specimen that are so crucial to
producing the "live animal" look in a finished mount.
All incorporated into five days of intensive hands on one-to-one
instruction, individualized to meet your specific needs. That's
why we limit the class size to no more that three at one time.
*Everyone strives to get better each year. This
one week of instruction might teach you more than you could learn on
your own over many years of doing taxidermy. Just ask our former
students. Our track record is second to none. We've possibly
taught more state, national, and world champions than all the other game head
courses put together. Invest in yourself. It may be the best
money you've ever spent.

For the past 19 years he has raised
whitetail deer in his eight-acre pen. He's kept from 10 to 26 live
deer at any one time, including a 300 lb., 10 point buck.
Having a research pen literally in his
backyard offers an enormous opportunity to gather close-up
reference. This has not only been invaluable for Joe, but for the
many students he's taught over the last 20 years.
Joe Teaches a five-day game head
course one week each month out of the year. "We have
literally taught students from all over the world", says Joe.
Many of those who have taken Joe's classes have themselves become world
and national champions. "Of the successes I've had, I'm
probably the most proud that I've been able to help a number of people
achieve their goals."
